Vera Carlson, MD, PhD
Vera Carlson, MD, PhD, is an experienced physician who specializes in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. With a background in family and molecular medicine, Dr. Carlson has an in-depth, multilevel understanding of health and wellness. She offers her expertise to women and men at Cache Cosmetics & Laser in Providence, Utah. In addition to her rewarding work at Cache Cosmetics & Laser, Dr. Carlson serves the Cache Valley community as the owner of Peach Tree Family Medicine and the medical director of Rocky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
Dr. Carlson helps patients achieve their personal cosmetic and wellness goals. She provides consultations and performs a variety of aesthetic procedures, such as laser skin resurfacing, anti-aging treatments, Botox®, and dermal filler injections, and other treatments that enhance each client’s unique, natural allure and self-confidence.
With the understanding that robust health contributes to inner and outer beauty, Dr. Carlson offers personalized wellness coaching and custom weight-loss programs designed to meet the needs of the individual patient. Using evidence-based techniques, nutritional counseling, lifestyle changes, and ongoing emotional support, she guides patients along their journey to becoming their best selves.
Dr. Carlson earned her medical degree from the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in Moscow, Russia. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Medicine at Nagasaki University School of Medicine in Nagasaki, Japan. Dr. Carlson then came to the United States, completing her residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Carlson completed advanced training programs in several specialized areas of medicine. Her work as a researcher is published in several respected journals and publications. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

A classically trained pianist, Dr. Carlson enjoys spending time playing the piano and leading group fitness classes. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Japanese.
